Ayurvedic Face Mask with Rosewater

Get your glow on! This Ayurvedic Face Mask combines the natural scrubby texture of oatmeal powder with the hydrating essence of ripe apple and the soothing touch of rose water. Known for its gentle exfoliating properties, oatmeal removes dead skin cells and its absorbent nature helps in reducing excess oil, while its soothing properties calm the skin. Grated apple provides natural hydration without adding to the oiliness, making it ideal for balancing Kapha’s earth and water elements. If you have it, rose water adds a refreshing scent and offers astringent properties that help in tightening pores and reducing puffiness.

Recipe for the Ayurvedic Face Mask

  • 2 tbsp oatmeal powder (scrubby texture)
  • 1/4 ripe apple (grated)
  • a splash of rose water if you have

Simply mix the oatmeal powder (I usually just blend oats into a powder) and grated apple to form a paste. If needed, add filtered water or rose water to achieve the perfect consistency. Apply this nourishing blend to your clean face and let it sit for 20–25 minutes. This not only exfoliates but also hydrates and revitalises your skin – leaving it soft, clear, and balanced. Wash off with warm water and use a hydrating face cream after.
